Every year there is massive hype train for 5 draft QBs. But one plays average on a bad team then gets labeled a bust. Darnold has higher upside than any other 2021 QB not named Trevor Lawrence or Zach Wilson.

He should be better than Teddy Bridgewater.

Panthers can now target a premier non-QB player with that 8th pic.

Panther's didn't give up very much to get Darnold... good trade imo.

If we don't get a dude like Surtain or Horn with he 10th pick... Need to find a way to bring in Sherman for a year.

“Well, apparently we got to wait ’til the draft happens before anything else shakes out, because everybody has their hopes and dreams in the draft, which is understandable,” Sherman said (via Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area). “You turn 33, and then it’s like, ‘We’ll wait until we get a young pup; and if we can’t get a young pup, we’ll take an old fool.’ So that’s where we’re sitting.”

The Browns are signing Clowney to a one-year deal worth up to $10 million, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday. Cleveland later announced the move. The signing followed a passed physical for Clowney, whose 2020 season ended prematurely due to a knee injury.

An arrest warrant was issued Monday for the arrest of Seattle Seahawks defensive end Aldon Smith on a second-degree battery charge, the St. Bernard Parish (La.) District Attorney's Office announced.

According to authorities, Smith, 31, allegedly caused severe injuries to a male victim on Saturday, which warranted a judge to sign an arrest warrant Sunday. Smith could face a fine of up to $2,000 and/or a maximum prison sentence of eight years if convicted of second-degree battery.

The investigation into the alleged assault is ongoing.

Smith signed with the Seahawks on Thursday.

    Damn... right after he signed.

No post on Alex Smith retirement, dooms?

Division rival QB who had a 15 year career.

I don't really consider Alex Smith a division rival.

I look at him as more of a number-one-overall bust.

2-5 playoff record in that 15 year career

I mean... Tony Romo was only 2-4 in his playoff career, but Romo went undrafted, Smith went #1 overall.

Busts don't play 15 seasons. If he made the superbowl in 2012 he would have had better resume. Oh well.

I mean... for a #1 overall pick and considering what Rodgers has done, Alex Smith could be considered a bust.

Maybe the word "mediocre" is best suited for A.Smith.

He wasn't great, He wasn't horrible... just mediocre.

Alex Smith was an average qb who was intelligent and very good game manager. Nothing special about him.
