Default LeBron's AllDefense pre & post-2014: haters about to avoid the evidence LIKE A PLAGUE

Prior to the 2013-14 season LeBron had made 5 straight All-defensive 1st teams.
In the 2013-14 season he made the All-defensive 2nd team.
Then, in the following 6 seasons he hasn't made any all-defensive teams.

Quite an abrupt change, isn't it?

Well, guess what? Prior to the 2013-14 season, the NBA coaches selected all-defensive team members. Starting with the 2013-14 season the media selected the all-defensive teams.

Now, what was it you LeBron haters like to call him? "LeSPN"? Preaching the gospel that LeBron is a media-manufactured star?

In fact, the empirical evidence shows that you should thank your lucky stars that media is the one who votes for awards and honors. Because if it was the coaches, who actually go against him on a nightly basis who were voting, LeBron would have:

    3-4 more MVPs
    1-2 DPOYs
    2015 Finals MVP
    Several more All-defensive selections

You have no greater ally than the LeBron-hating media. And if LeBron doesn't win the MVP this season, it will be the media that comes to your rescue once again.

The hilarious thing is that had the Warriors won the 2016 Finals, he wouldn't have gotten that Finals MVP either. It would've been Draymond, or still Lebron.

Did he ever get outscored in the NBA Finals by Jason Terry?

Only made All Defense teams with 2 of the best defensive coaches of the millenium in Mike Brown and Erik Spoelstra

Didnt play a lick of defense in his return to Cleveland

Lakers didnt improve at all defensively with him in 2019

Got AD, DPOY Dwight, Danny, Vogel and became an elite defense

Then got Denis, DPOY Marc, Wes and Trez while losing Dwight and Danny and remained elite

thankfully the voters weren't blinded by the narrative that "Bran is playing great defense" when the reality is he just gets to freelance while being surrounded by elite defenders at every position and one of the best defensive minds of this era

You are a ****ing idiot. Mike Brown was a trash ass coach (even defensively) without LeBron. Remember his stint with the Lakers? Of Course you don't.

Harrell is a mediocre defender and Gasol has been average at best. The Lakers without AD have still maintained a crazy good defensive rating.

In the 4 games Schroder and AD missed, the Lakers held their opponents to 111 points a night. This is WITH an OT game in there as well, in which they gave up 127 points.

Held the Nets to 109 points (they score 121 a game and are the #1 offense).

Held the Jazz to 114 points (they score 116.4 a game and are the #2 offense).

Held the Heat to 96 points (they score 106.9 a game).

All those game were without AD AND Schroder.

LeBron shits on K_ as a defender that has you hurting right now. Even current LeBron is miles better than peak K_ as a defender.

LeBron is also currently 2nd in the league in defensive win shares.

LeBron is also currently 5th in the league in defensive rating.

LeBron is also currently 9th in the league in defensive RPM, with the next closest Laker being AD at 31.

Not matter how much you throw out random autistic and inane ramblings, facts are facts.

Stopped reading at Mike Brown isnt an elite defensive coach. Sorry Apu facts are facts. 13th in defense is far higher than that Lakers personell had any business of being.

A bad Cavs team went from 27th to 19th on defense with him too.

Hes been the defensive coach for the Warriors too and theyre a top 5 defense this season.

Lebron's defense fell off quite sharply after 2013. Even in 2014 it was much worse than before. He had a brief resurgence in the 2016 playoffs but his defense never reached elite levels again after 2013 with any kind of consistency.

Lebron should've made All-Defense last year, and should this year. But who knows if the media will vote for him.

All-defense teams awards are like 80% narrative anyways, pretty unimportant.
