The 2 decades of superstar play almost fooled me, but after this compelling evidence, I have to agree with the OP. Lebum is just an average star

Lebron simply had much better teammates than MJ throughout their careers.

    Because of LeBron
    Kyrie
    Kevin Love
    Anthony Davis
    Chris Bosh
    Ilgauskas

Most of them had the opportunity to play playoff basketball for the first time. An opportunity they never had to experience before playing next to him.

Jordan had a guy people until this day call "the greatest rebounder ever" in Rodman.
He also played with another guy who people arguably call him til this day, "the greatest perimeter defender ever" in Pippen.

I don't think any of the LeBron teammates mentioned above are called anything close "greatest at something"

Ray has lost the title to Curry, when it comes to shooting.

Also despite the East being a cake-walk, the man had to go against the two greatest shooters the league has ever seen and the greatest scorer the league has ever seen. 4 times in a row.

He also faced the greatest power forward of all time + the greatest coach of all time + one of the greatest 6th man of all time in Ginobili. 3x in his career.

MJ did not have rodman in his first 3peat. Pippen was a perfect complimentary player to Jordan and indispensable throughout those years. I'm not one to discredit Pip. Other than that, it's a very thin lineup compared to Lebron's.

Jordan faced easier competition in his prime.

In the finals he did, but overall the EC then was a lot tougher and consistently had better teams.

Bron having to go through KD/Curry's Warriors is why people who only count FINALS WON are dumb. Save for the 96 team, I don't think any Chicago iteration beats them.

reason why libron shouldn't be on the top 10.

    MJ > Kobe > TD > libron

Yet Jordan's role players won 55 games without him...with Pete Meyers as a replacement

A lot tougher to score and consistently showed lack of offensive fire power.

LeBron's teammates were so good that they allowed themselves and the team to be led by LeBron in points, rebounds and assists almost every time.
LeBron's teammates were so good that they were favored to win a whopping 3 of the 10 finals LeBron played in. Yet LeBron still managed to get 4 rings.
