Well, the all-time scorer is 7'2", so there is that.

And the only guy to average 50 a game for a season was 7'1". And many would say that this same guy was a better rebounder than Rodman.

    Which series?

Rodman was arguably FMVP of the 96 finals. GOAT impact, defense, rebounding and sportsmanship. Too bad he couldn't play that way most of the 3-peat.

Not really. Were you even alive when that series took place? Rodman started game 1 against Kemp and Kemp lit him up, scoring 32 points on 64%. After game 1, Phil switched Luc Longley onto Kemp for nearly the entire of the remaining series.

Taking it too far saying he was a shell of himself. Though I agree his absolute best was on the Spurs because Rodman was a perfect complement to Robinson.

In 1997 he ag. 27mins a game and avg. 3.3 fouls per game

1998 he avg. 30mins a game and just under 4 fouls per game.

    That's definitely not "benched"

97' and 98' Rodman was 36 years old and older than 2010 Shaq - he averaged 4/8 for the entire 97' Playoffs and wasn't even the starter in the 98' Playoffs.. He wasn't all-defense and hadn't been an all-star since 92' (Shaq was all-star MVP in 09')

Rare for someone to come out and say "I didn't watch a minute of those series."

Disagree. On the Spurs he was a menace and that's when he became a household name. The only reason why it didn't pan out was off the court issues with David Robinson, showing up late for practice/games and among other antics. But his defensive intensity and rebounding were at a high for him.
