Default Cam Newton's performance as Patriots starting quarterback

Cam Newton was pulled from the game early in the 4th quarter of the Patriots' blowout loss to the 49ers.

How good do you think Newton still is?

And should the Patriots stick with him or try to make a move?

He's somewhere around average when he can complete around 60% of his passes with his ability to extend and save plays with his legs, but with the Patriots' weapons, he's worse than Brady was last year. Not only did he get injured and have significant time off prior to playing with the Pats, but he also went through COVID. He's not in the upper-echelon of QBs like he was like 3-4 years ago.

Pats are rumored to trade Gilmore so I think they'll shop for a younger QB to buld around for the long-haul. possibly Darnold.
