Who would be the Finals MVP if the Lakers put the Heat away?
LBJ and AD through 2 games:
LeBron James
29 PPG | 11 RPG | 9 APG | 54.8% FG | 0.5 BPG | 1 SPG | 1 Turnovers over per game
Anthony Davis
33 PPG | 11.5 RPG | 3 APG | 63.4% FG | 1.5 BPG | 0.5 SPG | 2 Turnovers over per game
Everything close, apart from FG % and APG.

One of the guys was 2nd in MVP voting this year and has orchestrated a masterpiece of an offense for the duration of the playoffs--how is this a question?!
Another way to look at it:
So one guy scores a 33 and another guy scores 29 with 9 dimes, usually 3 or 4 of them to the guy scoring 33.

Because it is finals MVP.
Not regular season MVP, or playoffs MVP.
The MVP for the series vs Miami. Only this series.

Right, so the guy that has been orchestrating the offense for 100 games and has kept up his end of the bargain is suddenly not the MVP because AD's direct defender Bam got hurt so AD is scoring a few points more now? I don't think so my friend.

Andre Iguodola won FMVP in 2015. When Curry was the MVP in regular season + Playoffs. But that one series vs Cleveland, Iguodola was the MVP.
I am not arguing against Lebron, I am arguing what the trophy is about. They should replace it with Playoffs MVP , or make regular season MVP include playoffs.

It's obviously LeBron at this point. One has to look at the number in the context of the function of the zone - AD is farming in the dunker's spot while LeBron is initiating plays to solve the zone and setting him up for easy buckets.
Case in point - when LeBron moved to the high post and dunker's slot positions in the 4th, he suddenly started getting all those open looks AD had been getting before that.
