Youre the champion of people playing under the conditions in question. Champions are who wins among a group of people. You don’t get your ring for how you might do vs the 83 76ers. You get it for what you do vs other teams in the 2020 bubble. Being the champ of 2020 has nothing to do with what anyone might do on any other setting.
You beat your league not any other.

You beat your league not any other. It’s gonna count like 99 or 12 or whatever and you’re gonna deal with it your feelings about that not mattering for the rest of your life.

Re: Unfortunately the Bubble doesnt count
No one saying this would be saying it if Lebron lost. If the Heat somehow comeback and win this series, all the people saying it doesn't count will say "3-7" until the end of time.
And if it is so easy to win, how come the Bucks lost in 5 in the second round and the Clippers also lost in the second round? Same setup for every team, other teams just couldn't get it done.

Re: Unfortunately the Bubble doesnt count
The 99 season also doesn't have an asterisk. Who should have won it if not the Spurs?
They swept the Lakers and swept the Blazers. Yes an 8 seed won the east, but the Knicks had talent and beat the 1 and 2 seed in the East. It is their fault they didn't get it done.
The one team that year you have a small case for is the Jazz. If ever was a team that should have load managed it was them. They were 32-8 before fatigue of a quickened season with not just many back to backs but 3 games in 3 nights did them in. They struggled down the stretch after having the best record and then folded in the playoffs. Even so it was their problem. Stockton and Malone insisted on starting and playing every game. They chose to do that and were beat by the playoffs. Spurs were not.

Re: Unfortunately the Bubble doesnt count
Its a bubble ring: Good thing is you get to add on to your career playoff stats. You also can do literally whatever the hell you want and not be criticized by other all-time greats because they never experienced the bubble.
Playing defense was already tougher to play in this era but the bubble makes it almost impossible.

Says a lot about Kawhi shooting 6/22 in Game 7 then

It'll eventually sink in, bud.
I suggest you go to therapy. The quicker you get over it the better.

So you have an account built around defending someone who went 6/22 against 7'1 Brian Windhorst in the magic kingdom?

So you're saying Kawhi went 6/22 in a situation where it was impossible to play defense? So what would he have done under normal conditions? 1/22?

Basically every single player/coach/staff has said that the bubble is the toughest thing in the history of the league
In fact it seems that it will be another ring that counts for two, like '16

Very interesting.
What a MASSIVE indictment on Kawhi's game 7 going 6/22 and 1/11 in the 2nd half on hoops designed to be easier to shoot on. Really puts the choke into perspective.

It doesn't matter what angle he tries going for. Bron's winning a ring and Kawhit shit the bed. It's checkmate regardless.

Bigger asterisk than even 2012.
Yikes.
