When you're the 8th seeded team playing the #1 seed, that stacked #1 seed never has to see your crowd who many times literally intimidates #1 seeds into stealing a game or two. Elite teams don't need homecourt at all to win a series. Underhanded teams need those two games that pretty much guarantee one win usually. Without those home games for the lower seed, elite teams only need to continue to strategize their way into winning which is probable with elite talent. Lack of a crowd takes much of the emotion out the game. And the best way for an underdog team to win is by turning the game into a physical emotional battle instead of a strategic one ala We Believe Warriors, 04 Pistons, etc
Neutral courts benefit high seeded elite talent teams more than anyone.
