Dominique Wilkins said he could've won titles playing with Malone and Stockton
He was originally drafted by the Utah Jazz in the 1982 Nba Draft but he don't want to play in Utah. That's why he demanded to be traded to the Atlanta Hawks.

Re: Dominique Wilkins said he could've won titles playing with Malone and Stockton
Nique on the Jazz in 82 most likely has some ripple effect on their drafting choices in subsequent years. For all we know neither Stockton or Malone end up there, or maybe one does. Hard to say.

I would hope the jazz could win at least 2 titles with another 29 ppg added to their team

Went to Greece to win a title, Nique has to be top 5 most overrated to grace an NBA court.
Imagine playing 16 seasons and in that time winning a dunk contest and making 1 ECSF but still having people call you a top 50 player.

Interestingly, in real life, both were picked so low considering their value, Utah might still have a chance to draft them both, esp.since Stockton was drafted first but was getting low minutes. A big question mark, though, is what would happen with Dantley. A 30 ppg efficient scorer isn't suddenly going to 180 change his game for a 17 ppg (as a Hawk) rookie who plays at the same position.

Agreed. With Nique they have lower picks. Since Malone was the 13th pick and Stockton the 16th pick maybe they get one of them even if they are picking a couple spots lower but that is speculation. We would have to dive into where those players were on other team's boards to know if Malone would be there at #18 or something.
The real Nique what if is what if Atlanta never traded him in 94'? He was finally on a good team. Atlanta was 34-13 at the break and tied with Chicago for 1st place in the East. Yet they traded him to the Clippers (for a vastly inferior Danny Manning) which was NBA purgatory back then, tailed off in the second half and lost to a 47 win Pacers team in the second round.

You're thinking about it wrong.
Try this:
Imagine how good you have to be to have people call you a top 50 player when the only thing you've done in 16 seasons is win a dunk contest and make 1 ECSF.

Re: Dominique Wilkins said he could've won titles playing with Malone and Stockton
Of course he would.
The Jazz would've been a true big 3 in an era where the closest thing to a big 3 to take on the Bulls included a Dan Majerle and a Detlef Schrempf.

Re: Dominique Wilkins said he could've won titles playing with Malone and Stockton
Stars back then weren't joining each other for the most part. Especially during their primes. Dominique would win a HANDFUL of titles if he decided to go the LeBron route.

Lmao, you must not be that familiar with 80's basketball. Sure, Magic and Larry didn't need to leave their team because they were already on super teams. Both had multiple hall of fame teammates. The 80's Lakers are probably the best teams of all time talentwise.
And yes if Dominique Wilkins joined another team and was a supplementary player, he would probably have won multiple rings. Had he left a team and still been a leader as Lebron did, he would not have won any title.

You just made my point. They didn't leave their teams for the most part. Same thing with Jordan who won his first series outscoring Pippen by 30 points. Back then stars grew with their teams and played with the cards they were dealt.

Exactly. If Wilkins left and joined teams MULTIPLE times during his prime, playing with other stars, he would also have multiple titles. Just like I said. They wouldn't be celebrated rings or anything, but we would have to acknowledge he technically won.
