#29 Titans select DE, Yetur Gross-Matos, Penn State
Gross-Matos is a pick to help the competition on the other side of Harold Landry, who came into his own this season. Gross-Matos has long arms on his 6-foot-5 frame, and he is stellar against the run. He’s not a quick-twitch pass-rusher like Young or Chaisson, but he’s a solid player and hard worker. General manager Jon Robinson has an eye for talent, and it’s a huge offseason for Tennessee.”
Gross-Matos had a solid 2019 season with the Nittany Lions, recording 40 tackles and 9.5 sacks after finishing out the previous season with 54 tackles, eight sacks and two forced fumbles.

I think Dallas will take a CB in the 1st. Lost Byron and both Awuzi and Lewis are free agents after this season.

after I finish out this first round... I'm going to make an updated list.
CJ Henderson is an option... but a lot of people have him going to the Falcons at #16.
do not want a CB at #17 if Henderson is off the board.

Re: ISH 2020 NFL Mock Draft
Diggs, Fulton, Gladney, Jaylon Johnson.... One of these guys will be a very good player. Most likely two or three of them.
This kind of thinking is what led to the Packers getting Jaire Alexander at the end of the first round. Teams would have been shunned for taking him in the late teens at the time, but his tape and skills clearly showed someone worthy of taking.
Those four guys I listed are in the same boat. You can see why any of the four could be a great player, it's just deciding which one it will be.
Honestly, why aren't they viewed higher? Diggs is a very big corner with wheels. Tape is good.
Jaylon is a lot like Jaire coming out of college.
Gladney is as feisty a corner as you will see in any draft. He had acceptable speed and his tape....it's easy seeing him translate into a very good player. Competitiveness, technique, with a baseline amount of athletic ability is usually a combo that succeeds.
We took Leonard when he was viewed as a third round prospect, we got torched for it and now look. The start of his career is as good as ANY off ball linebacker EVER.
Anyway, that line of thinking "Henderson or nothing" is why teams suck at drafting.

Re: ISH 2020 NFL Mock Draft
I'm a little behind so here's mine (assuming no trades)
I have some trade ideas that may work out I will post later
1- Cincinnati- Joe Burrows
Personally I don't think he'll be the best QB. Best right now but I see higher ceilings with Tua and Love
2- Washington- Chase Young
No brainer
3- Detroit- Isaiah Simmons-
I know people high on Okudah, but Simmons is a generational athlete
4- NYG- Meckhi Becton
They NEED OL
5- Miami Dolphin- Tua Tagovailao
Lock him up
6- LAC- Justin Herbert
Consolation QB
7- Carolina Panthers- Derrick Brown
Lot's of holes but I think this is the best fit + BPA
8- Arizona- Tristan Wirfs
Need a pancake machine
9- Jacksonville- Jeff Okudah
Yeah he slides, but not too far
10- Cleveland- Jedrick Wills
NEED OL
11- NYJ- Jerry Juedy
First WR off the board. Big need
12- Las Vegas- CeeDee Lamb
Takes best WR available
13- San Fran- Henry Ruggs
Need a playmaker WR
14- Tampa Bay- Andrew Thomas
Brady is old. Must protect
15- Denver- Javon Kinlaw
They really want to F*ck up Mahomes
16- Atlanta- Klavon Chaisson
They need a good motor there
17- Dallas- CJ Henderson
Dallas looking for BPA secondary
18- Miami- AJ Epenesa
Lots of holes. I like this fit
19- Las Vegas- Patrick Queen
He's gonna be dangerous with Jon Abram behind him
20- Jacksonville- Yatur Gross-Matos
They got Okudah in my draft so why not help pass rush
21- Philadelphia- Kenneth Murray
YES for my home team
22- CJ Henderson
Need CB
23- New England- Jordan Love
Sneaky pick. Next Franchise guy
24- New Orleans- Jalen Reagor
Need to Replace Ginn as the Burner
25- Minnesota- Kristian Fulton
Need to replace CB
26- Miami- D'Andre Swift
Build that Offense and get a legit RB
27- Seattle- Ross Blacklock
Need more interior
28- Baltimore- Zack Baun
Really underrated pick
29- Tenessee Titans- Jeff Gladney
Another underrated pick
30- Green Bay- Justin Jefferson
Best WR available IMO
31- San Fran- AJ Henderson
Sherman old
32- KC- Trevon Diggs
Need Corner

I think the Cowboys have more 2nd round options at CB with the #51 pick. You have to factor that in. Mel Kiper says the drop off from CJ Henderson to the next CB is significant.
In 2018 - these were the CB's taken:
#4 Cle - Denzel Ward
#18 GB - Jaire Alexander
#30 Min - Mike Hughes
#45 GB - Josh Jackson (Iowa)
#53 TB - MJ Stewart
GB was clearly filling a need, (2 of the top 4 CBs on their draft board), and there is nothing wrong with filling a need, but you wan to draft best player available if it is possible.
I think Xavier McKinney comes closest to doing both, filling a need and taking best player available. Sports Illustrated had a Earl Thomas comparison:
• One player who got more love than I expected when I was calling around this week: Alabama S Xavier McKinney. I got an Earl Thomas comp out of one of the NFL’s most respected evaluators, and not a lot of disagreement when I ran that by a couple of other veteran evaluators. Another called him “premium … one of the best safeties I’ve ever watched.” Teams love his athleticism and his versatility to play up, back or in the slot. LSU’s Grant Delpit came into the season considered the class’s best safety by a healthy amount, but McKinney has flown by him (part of that, of course, is that Delpit had a shaky final season with the Tigers).
I just can't help but wonder if Ruggs III is still there at #17... he sure is fast. I'm not sold on Denver going WR in the first. ATL will not be going WR at 16.... so idk if we should consider Ruggs an option for the Cowboys or not.

Ruggs won't make it past SF.
