This would be an excellent low-risk, high-reward signing, and Howard looks like the kind of diamond-in-the-rough player that the Utah Jazz have made a habit of uncovering.
Why does everything they do have to be considered great? You have no idea if this is excellent. If he'd played in summer league it would be one thing. He's French so he replaces Neto as Rudy's bff but can he play?
Thabo Sefolosha and Nic Batum. If he can transition to the NBA even half as well as they did, this is a steal for the Jazz.
they were both young lottery picks I believe. He's not as young or drafted but keep trying to sell it!
Howard is definitely a guy to keep an eye on this year. #TakeNote
yeah since he is on the roster he would be
[QUOTE]Eh
If they were that worried about Rudy wanting Neto on the team they would have just signed Neto. Not like he

Some might argue Mitchell is already a star, but he has not been an All-Star. In fact, he shockingly wasn't even close last year, as he finished 12th among Western Conference guards.
shocking that anyone thinks he should have even be considered. Didn't show up until January
If they're at or near the top of the West, it's a near certainty Mitchell will get his nod this year.
If he makes it and Rudy still doesn't it will be pretty sad. If they are as good as I think they could be they might deserve their big 4 though

[QUOTE]As exciting as the start of filling out the roster was, the Jazz wrapped it up in rather quiet, conservative fashion. They signed their own former second-round draft pick Nigel Williams-Goss who had been playing overseas, the largely unknown (I admittedly had never heard of him) Frenchman William Howard, who had been playing overseas, and the lowest picked player of their second-round selections from this year

3 more guys to compete for last spot with the Frenchman I guess?
So Stars will have their 3 picks, maybe Goss and Bradley and the Frenchman? Exum should be on the Stars sadly

Ben Anderson: Jazz roster is deep and versatile
We hear this every year and it hasn't been true since Millsap was here. U like the first 9. Big question marks after that
The first thing that jumps out is the team is incredibly versatile. Of the 15 signed players, 11 players are proven and capable of playing multiple positions. Only Williams-Goss, Oni, Gobert and Bradley appear positionally limited.
Exum isn't proven. Who else is? I count 9. Goss is a combo guard. Oni is a wing who can handle it too, I could actually see Gobert at the 4 guarding the perimeter if he was with someone that could shoot and protect the rim. Bradley played the 4 with Reed last year. Not sure if he can do it in the NBA but he can play offensively on the perimeter
Gobert and Bradley are strictly centers, while Oni showed little versatility offensively beyond his ability to shoot the ball. He may be able to defend both backcourt positions in the NBA but struggled with that during his Summer League appearances.
You saw a different Oni and obviously haven't seen much of Bradley either
Williams-Goss comes in at 6-foot-3 and has a 6-foot-7 wingspan, which should give him the option to play both guard spots. He has a lack of lateral quickness, which may keep him off the floor in general.
but unlike Exum is an actual basketball player not just an athlete trying to play basketball

Tony Jones: One note on Derrick Favors: New Orleans was his preferred destination when it became clear he had to move on. The Jazz did their best to accommodate that when that was communicated to them. Good business on both sides

When I recently asked someone outside the family, someone who would know the details about Sloan, asked how he was doing at age 77, even though I already had been told by others, he said three words.

Here's an article written by the guy who has never heard of NWG. There have been several other written by his colleagues on the same site in the past couple of years.
