Vengeance - 9/10

An insanely well written film, the script is incredibly tight and there are very few wasted words (kind of like hot fuzz), and the film does a phenomenal job portraying the liberal coastal vs conservative central mentalities in a hilarious and loving way.



This might be the best new movie made in the past ~5 years...

sci fi : Beyond the Trek

Story line (A perfect human race created to find a ship that was supposed to bring back cargo.
(Cargo was a chemical to rectify earths global warming))- 10

Over all score 7 (Not bad for a class B movie exceeding itself)

Dune2 was about a 7 ... scenes pretty good... acting 6

2 1/2 hours in the theater for best scene at end ... kind of like a 60's movie.

last night watched a youtube sci-fi

ESCAPE EARTH

about 20 words were actually said in the movie (no shit)

Planet got hit by an asteroid belt.

Far less destruction for my liking.
Plot was based on a family man letting his wife drive away to a ship that would take them off earth.
He goes about thru hell and high water against a bunch of people corrupt and trying to kill him for no reasonings ...

For a C+ movie I rate it at B+

Godzilla minus one was a masterpiece.

Takes place post ww2 Japan. Builds the human characters in a way to make you really care about them which is what they should have done with Cranston in the 2014 film. Best depiction of Godzilla’s atomic breath ever. Right when you think you’re safe because you avoided the initial shot, the aftershock kills you, which was unexpected and made him seem more lethal. Also came up with a cool way to kill Godzilla at the end, which I don’t know enough about the sciences to say if it’s realistic or not but it’s convincing to a layman like myself. I wish I posted this last year when I saw it, because it’s definitely a movie you need to catch in theatres.

Land of Bad (2024)

It's pretty much a Hollywood interpretation of Metal Gear Solid 3, a mediocre one. Action stuff is nice but if you have played MGS3 it gets boring very quickly. It has no real drama plots to get into neither.
