That's fair, altho the FA class next season won't be nearly as good as this one. I'm surprised no one has talked about Mavs in FA, they have a decent amount of cap and two young stars going forward. If they flipped Barnes/Powell for more assets this would be amazing.

Well, we don't have cap unless we get off of Barnes / Powell.

Right now, Barnes / Powell / Lee / Hardaway make a combined 65 million.

Kristaps has a cap hold of 17 million.

Luka makes 8 million.

Brunson makes 1.5 million.

And then we'll want to keep Maxi and DFS...each have a cap hold of 1.5 million iirc.

So, really nothing to work with.

Now, you move Barnes and Powell to the Bucks for Hill / Smith / Protected first rounder...or something like that...maybe also use Lee to take back Snell for them if need be in a separate deal. Also would be willing to take back Maker.

You now have enough for a max player.

That is my hope, a deal like that, but I doubt it happens.
