There were still lingering issues in the early to mid 70's. When I was three years old my dad was ran out of a small town because of some remarks he made about the town's deputy. Then a mob of (you guessed it, white people) threatened to burn down our house.

My dad was so afraid that he took me, my brother, and our mom into a car with all of our stuff and drove off into a new city and started a whole new life.

Times have most certainly changed though for the better in comparison to back then, but the guys before me faced the real shit, and the guys before them did as well. My family weren't slaves. On my father's side his ancestors escaped the slave trade from Morocco and came to America and his great, great grandfather became a pastor and owned a saw mill.

On my mother's side her ancestors were not "recognized" as a slaves by their "owner" and once their "owner" passed they were given all of his land, his home, and his property which we still own till' this day.

Do you know anything about your ancestors? You can't take credit for the victimization of people that have nothing to do with you. That literally makes no sense to me.

What other people went through has nothing to do with what my family went through because everyone's individual circumstances are different.

I'm Afro-Canadian and came across this a few years ago...It was unbelievable then but now you can't even be surprised. It's so common place now that many of these white people really believe they are the disenfranchised group. From a lot of what I come across it seems I had no clue how difficult it was to be white in America, God bless their resilience and ability to bounce back against all odds!

You notice me reference any African or Asian civil wars? Rwanda? Liberia? The chinese civil war that happened the same time as the American one but killed 30 million people without even being in history books?

Violence has always been and will always be. And people tend to kill who is next to them. But fact remains...on the subject of race in America? If the goal is to live free of racial discrimination against you theres nothing more advantageous in human history than being a white person in a modern first world country. Be anything else in any other time theres a solid chance some white people will arrive and destroy your people or force them to live under their rule and give up self governance. You can be in south east asia, ohio, the ivory coast, or Bolivia. Some white people are gonna turn up and gradually annihilate, enslave, or conquer your people.
