Try to remember the week long rest the Cavs got in 2016 while the Thunder and Warriors were killing each other out there in a 7 game WDF

    Yep

Wow, how in the world did the Warriors survive that? Professional athletes of the highest degree having to play 1-2, or even 3 extra games? Not sure how that's even possible.

Imagine getting to rest AFTER resting....Eastern Conference playoffs was pretty much a long scrimmage

So what happened in 2001? Lakers won every game before the finals and had a break from 5/27 to 6/6...which is much longer rest than what hiphopanon was complaining about in his earlier post regarding Lebron.

In fact, the Sixers 2001 played FOUR games between 5/28 and 6/3...while the Lakers were chillin.

So what happened? Does it not count when these things happen with Kobe?

    Of course not.

It only counts when LeBron does it.

Are the two retards above us trying to imply the East during the early 2000s was stronger than the West?

Or are they trying to correlate and pretend that context was the exact same despite it clearly being not?

That the Lakers steamrolled the West in 2001 says more about the team and the two stars at the helm than the competition in the West that year (which was stronger than the weak East).

The East being a joke of a conference in 2016 does not equate and thus the comparison falls apart then and there.

It WAS Shaq's team, Kobe was the side kick.

So that's two L's you are taking now. Kobe got to rest longer than anyone AND get carried by Shaq. Ouch.
