I agree, and think that's the one spot where he is the lowest risk with the greatest chance of being maximized by Atkinson. The other teams that could experiment with utilizing him have too much to lose if it doesn't pan out.

Melo is as bad of a fit for the Nets as it gets. Like if I had to picture the last player a team like Brooklyn would want, it'd be Melo.

    - They're one of the best ball movement teams, and hunt out 3s & layups...Melo at his core love the midrange and isos.
    - They're one of the hardest working teams in the league, and Melo is one of the laziest defenders in the league.
    - They're one of the most selfless teams in the league, and Melo has one of the biggest egos in the league.

Not talking about Melo still trying to be MELO. Basically at this point Melo knows that he is on the downslope of his career and would more than likely be willing to adapt his game to the style of play of the nets. It can

Why do people keep trying to force Melo somewhere, as if he's an NBA level player?

He's just not. He doesn't add anything to a team. He doesn't create for his teammates, and you can find better three point shooters and better defenders in the D League.

You know for a fact he's gonna cause a problem if he doesn't get enough touches, even though he deserves zero touches.

Why do people think he somehow "MUST" be valuable just because he has a name you recognize?

He has no value. Let it go already.

    So you wouldn't want LeGOAT?

I agree with this thread though tbh, never thought of it like that but the Nets would probably be one of his best destinations.

It can’t hurt, especially when we currently have the worst PF rotation in the league. If he doesn’t pan out than cut him
This is what many Thunder fans said before he sucked for them and got destroyed against Utah in the playoffs. Then many Rockets fans thought Melo had learned from that and that CP3/Harden could help him, until he sucked ass in Houston too.

He's not good. Even when he's trying to buy in, he's a bad NBA player now. You keep mentioning the Nets' PF rotation, but they're on fire right now as is. They don't need him and there's only the potential to disrupt what they're trying to build.
