Oh that's not to say earlier I think everything was better back then, I'm not that naive. I watch some older cartoons like He-man and Thundercats that I came up on and cringe at the dialogue and wafer-thin plots, same for some older movies but I do think the very creme de la creme holds up, but you could say that about stuff from every generation.

After having given it some more thought I think basketball is the exception for me because this (watching the games, looking at analysis, reading articles about it, etc.) is the activity I usually do when I want to slow down. It is either the end or the start of my days (I'm in Europe) so I'm a bit 'outside' my everyday life.

And yes, some of my favorite movies are from the 90s. The average of the 90s still bores me now. It's not necessarily bad but usually very slow. The 80s are like another universe. It's strange I was a teen and wasn't bored then. But I was and I wasn't.
