My initial comment was in comparison to the 3 players that were brought up namely Jordan, Kobe, and LeBron. But Bird and Magic are not safely ahead either. Bird's and Magic's careers for health reasons didn't maintain their previous output after 30. If Curry maintains his health he has a good shot of surpassing them. The accolades referenced above are the ones handed out. Curry has set records that are simply there. 67-73-67. 16-1. Any player in NBA history can be compared to those marks and Curry's name is there at the top of the pile. Even among the subjective awards there Curry is with the unanimous MVP. The numbers behind the unanimous MVP are also eye-popping.
Critics can come up with their reasons to discredit him but those records and those numbers stick out like a sore thumb. Even if the FMVP should always be denied him going forward, his rings already number 3 and any future rings in a leading role on a championship team will make a mockery of the FMVP award. 90% of the FMVP is just being the leading player on the championship team. It will draw attention if he isn't awarded one when he is so clearly the engine of the team

Hes like
ball handling 7/10
Defense 6/10
Leadership 9/10
Shooting 20/10
So id agree, he is decent enough at everything to be best skilled player in history when you factor in his shooting advantage.
