People acting like Kawhi needs to have peak Durant's scoring ability. If he isn't an elite offensive player yet, he's on the brink. He gets markedly better EVERY year without fail and he's in a class of his own defensively. The only one who has a CLEAR better impact than him on the floor is Lebron.

There's 3 players that have clearly better impact. It wasn't that long ago in the playoffs that Durant bodied him and the Spurs while Kawhi didn't do jack sht all series.

Saying that, if he keeps his scoring prowess from the first two games, that's another story.

Kawhi Leonard LAST SEASON was as good or better than PEAK Bird impact wise and efficiency wise. Only thing he lacked was volume, but that was due to the coaching philosophy and team ball direction. Now with GOAT retired and Leonard given free reign with a green light, he's going to become a 30+ PPG scorer with GOAT tier DPOY level perimeter defense.
