Yeah right. Paul George and Kawhi wouldn't have been better?

Haven't been much impressed with anything Lyles or Diaw have done so far. Hopefully when Favours gets some more run in his legs Lyles won't have to be playing 20+ minutes a game.

At the very worst though at least we've finally got a few more guys who can nail 3's with Hill and Johnson. Was a bit iffy on the Hill trade at the time, but he's converted me very quickly.

Haven't been too impressed with Snyder playing guys that aren't producing with their depth. i don't care about potential anymore. It should be all about wins. They beat Portland if he does things differently. Not playing Withey cost them the playoffs last year. They act like they are still tanking. Hayward will be gone if they keep it up.

Loved the Hill move not the other two so much but he is better than I could have imagined. He is the leader of the team. When the team isn't getting it done he has taken it upon himself to carry them. He might be as important or even more so than Rudy?

The Jazz (3-2) have held opponents to an average of 87 points over their past four games. They've seen an opponent top 100 points only once, an on a night when the Portland Trail Blazers' shooters were on fire. And as they sit, the Jazz currently rank 11th in the NBA when it comes to defensive efficiency.
So they have actually been average?

This one falls on the Jazz's bench, who played really well defensively last night against San Antonio, but didn't tonight. The Jazz allowed 139.6 points per 100 possessions while Dante Exum was in, for example.

Good thing he's such an offensive weapon.

By the way, I got a lot of comments on my Twitter timeline during the game that Snyder should have called a timeout at some point in those final three third-quarter minutes in order to stop that run. Here's the thing: there's not any evidence that calling a timeout stops positive momentum more than not calling a timeout. In 2011, a researcher at Bryn Mawr University found that calling a timeout doesn't lead to a halt in momentum any more frequently than not calling a timeout. The key quote: "The commonly held belief expressed by coaches, fans, and the media that timeouts are necessary to halt positive momentum is not supported by the data in this study."
Snyder is a genius and can do no wrong let's not forget.

I've written an ode to George Hill already so recently, but his play over the last four games has deserved special recognition. For the fourth consecutive game, Hill was the Jazz's best player, scoring 25 points on only 15 shots, and adding six rebounds and four assists.

You just said that with Rudy in the game the Mavs scored 69 point per 100 possessions. You don't think it's arguable?

This is way premature, but if Hill keeps this up, the Jazz are going to have to make a play at keeping him in free agency this offseason. He's just too good to let go.
Got to keep him. Maybe even over Hayward and/or Favors if it comes down to it.

The offseason acquisition of George Hill was a clear upgrade at the point guard position for the Utah Jazz
Not sure about that. Mack is a better playmaker. They should start together.

the Jazz have some of the best catch-and-shoot shooters in the NBA, and when they are open, they are going to hit at a rate well over 40 percent.
we'll see. After Hill and the aging Johnson no one has proven that over a long time. Hood and Hayward are streaky at best. Ingles and Lyles are bit players. Diaw has looked old. Neto doesn't play. Burks doesn't like to shoot them when healthy.

When the Jazz play small with Joe Johnson at the four, the floor gets really wide open.
And yet with all these other options Diaw played big minutes.

Tim MacMahon: Jazz PF/C Boris Diaw is likely to miss two weeks with a right leg contusion, a source said. With Derrick Favors still on a minutes restriction, 20-year-old Trey Lyles will continue to have an increased role.
