Utah Jazz coach Quin Snyder said Diaw's troubles should be attributed to a preseason injury.
"He's hurt right now," Snyder said. "He's been playing banged up. We've got to get him healthy."
Than why the hell is he even playing? You have other options. Even last year Pleiss filled in admirably. One thing the Jazz do well is make up excuses. I thought the coach was some sort of genius?
Losing games while you develop guys is a joke!

"A few of us around the league are fortunate enough to have rim protection," Lindsey said. "There's just a scarcity of tall players with great length and mobility that have that defensive mindset."
Which is why Withey has to have value. Why is he still on the team if an injured Diaw is still considered a better option?

"His reads have improved and he's starting to see more space," Snyder said. "Rodney's a really good midrange pull-up guy. We don't want him to just settle for that shot. He can make it, but he doesn't get fouled on that shot."
I'd rather he settled for the mid range where he's great than the 2 pointer where he's streaky at best

Rudy Gobert has played well at times and appears to be on track for a nice season.
Rodney Hood and Dante Exum have had some good moments, too.
other than foul trouble last game Rudy's looked great. Exum and Hood otoh...

[QUOTE]Also, Gobert wanted to have a deal that was lucrative for him while allowing the Jazz to pay talent around him. That will be important in the next couple of offseasons as Utah tries to keep Gordon Hayward and Derrick Favors

When fully healthy, the Jazz bench includes a lineup of Exum, Burks, Lyles, Joe Johnson, and Boris Diaw. Their third lineup includes Neto, Shelvin Mack, Joe Ingles, Joel Bolomboy, and Jeff Withey.
Still hard for me to not see Mack playing if everyone is healthy. One of their best players. Neto, Ingles and Withey are better than Exum, Lyles and Diaw right now too and arguably better fits than Alec. So I'd look at the coach before blaming the bench.
[QUOTE]2. Improvement: This Jazz bench is a great mix of youth and veteran experience. However, its success may depend largely on Exum and Lyles
