Still, the Big Three of the Jazz all registered strong performances. Gordon Hayward led the team once again, dropping 29 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Rodney Hood also played well, scoring 20 points and hitting four threes. Derrick Favors added a 16-point, 10-rebound double-double.
    Rudy? Hill?

Still, Burke was the unquestioned starter during his rookie season. And even if he lost time to Exum in his second season, he began that season as a starter as well. He began to lose time when coach Quin Snyder became unhappy with his defense.
His offensive game got worse as well. You got to put in the work to get better. He had always had everything handed to him and didn't think he had to.

But Burke is averaging just 4.7 points and 0.9 assists a night with Washington. He was brought in to be John Wall's primary backup at the point guard spot. But he's lost time to 6-foot-7 rookie Tomas Satoransky.
Not surprised. He's probably playing his last year in the league. The Chinese league is there for gunners like him that don't play D.

Jazz point guard George Hill has been listed as questionable on the team injury report, in advance of Friday's meeting with the Orlando Magic. Hill has missed the last two games with a thumb he sprained in Sunday's win over the New York Knicks. He has done a few drills in the last few days. He said following the loss to the Hornets that he's starting to feel better.
Good news. They should win tonite without him though.

Says on the D-league site that Wallace was cut? What's up with that? He decided he wanted to play overseas for a year? Hard to believe their 2nd round pick can't make the team over guys there on a tryout.

The Jazz weren't able to beat the Magic last season, losing both games, both without the services of Rudy Gobert.
and yet he's not one of their top 4 players?

Here's an example: last Thursday, the Jazz didn't hold practice, resting after playing a back-to-back. However, young draft pick Joel Bolomboy, who's not playing much, still could use some practice time. Because the Stars are located in Salt Lake, the team could send him down to the Stars for one day, allowing him to practice with the team, then could call him up to go through shootaround and be ready for the Jazz game on Friday. Obviously, travel time to Boise would have prevented that kind of quick send-down and call-up last season.
They could have still done some of that.

Reichert predicted that Paige would be a top-10 scorer in the whole league. Remember, though: because of the Jazz's waiver of him in training camp, any NBA team will be able to call him up, not just Utah.
He's almost certain to get called up if he does that. He was improved in the fall over summer.

Tyrone Wallace's waiver came as a surprise to D-League watchers, after all, he was the 60th pick in the 2016 NBA draft. But Wallace picked up an injury in a practice last weekend (the Stars aren't revealing the nature of the injury), and figures to be out a month or more. With roster spots at a premium, the team decided to temporarily waive Wallace. Wallace plans to resign with the Stars once he's ready to return to play.
    cool!

And Joel Bolomboy, the Weber State product, will undoubtedly spend lots of time in a Stars uniform, bouncing up and down from the Jazz's roster as injuries allow. When he plays for the D-League team, he'll be one of the best players on the floor.
We'll see. He's got a lot to prove yet.
