Is klay thompson trash talk the biggest backfire in NBA history?
With the series presumably in the bag, most were figuring the warriors would close it out in game 5 anyway without green..
Then Lebron/kyrie put on historic performances and won 3 straight games against a 73-9 team that haden't lost 3 straight since 2013!
Is this the biggest backfire in history? have we ever seen a player trash talk another team in the finals then have it blow up in their faces like that?

I think that the Westbrook/KD trash talking Curry's D was also a serious backfire.
There they were, giggling about Curry, only to lose a 3-1 Edge.
But yeah, Thompson's backfire is likely worse.
Still like the guy for adding some spice to this rivalry.
Lebron's blocks also helped,
But other then that if we look at the past Finals Rivals it kinda sucks
Spurs and Heat really respected one another, hugs and salutes and what not whenever one lost,
KD and Lebron are known to be in good terms, training together in the offseason, so the OKC- Heat rivalry wasn't exciting..
But Cleveland Vs GSW? Finally some bad blood man.
That curry comment on 'Smells of champange' in the regular season was awesome. Another backfire btw, considering they lost the finals at home.
