So, do the Thunder trade Russell now?
Kevin's decision likely means RW wasn't planning on staying for the long-haul, even if KD stayed. But now that KD left, it is pretty much a guarantee Russell does also.. So do they trade him? His value is probably highest right now, but you have to find a team with decent assets and a team he's willing to commit to long term.

Lakers will gladly trade Russell for Russell. I'm sure Mitch will throw in a Randle and Young too.

Yes. You either get Russ to renegotiate his contract and extend it or trade him. If he's not willing to extend it...you have to trade him. You can't risk losing him for nothing.
Lakers are the obvious choice. Ingram and Russell is fair. His hometown.
Boston is also another good choice. Something based around Jaylen Brown and the Nets pick.
Minnesota has the assets, but I don't know if he'd agree to sign there.

That trade was so ****ing awful. It was the first domino to fall. They keep Harden and they probably win a chip by now, and Durant stays.
Now Harden is gone, Durant left, Westbrook leaving. Team will be utter shit for the next decade.
All because they didn't think James Harden was worth like 18 million per

Re: So, do the Thunder trade Russell now?
So it was 16 Mil per. Even more laughable. Harden will get like 30+ next contract. Having him at 16 is one of the best deals in the NBA.
