If KD wants to become known as just another run-of-the-mill player with less notoriety while getting less MPG...he'll sign with GS. If wants to remain in the spotlight as the captain of OKC with a better team this coming year....then he'll re-sign.
No chance there's going to "splash triplets" at GS
Why do you think finding 60 shots between those 4 will be an issue? Thats like how many Bron/Wade/Bosh took in '11.
Whats a run of the mill player, if you think 16-17 FGA KD is a run off the mill player? Wtf

Run of the mill meaning lost in the mix. He'll get less notoriety and practically become.... just another player.
James, Wade and Bosh are/were effective in other aspects than just scoring. They didn't rely on their shots first.....they could be asked to do other things while others score at that time etc...

I'm not sure it really changes. It's possible that Lacob and the Warriors front office got more "aggressive" from the disappointment of choking that series, but Barnes was going to look for that max contract anyway. Durant was still going to look at different teams to sign with.
The talk of Durant going to the Warriors isn't new, it was reported months ago and the Warriors have long wanted KD.
Durant obviously doesn't care that much about how he looks, going to a 73-9 team that he just lost to in the postseason (blowing a 3-1 series lead). He's already getting wide criticism. What difference would it really make if the Warriors had won one more game and closed it out?
Teams want to stay ahead of the curve and maintain their stay at the top. If it was an opportunity to get Durant for "only" 6 million more yearly than paying Harrison Barnes, I'm sure nothing would change even if they won the title

With how badly they got embarrassed, nothing good could come from it.
Everyone respected them less after that series.
Now everyone respects them even less.
