Pistons summer league 2016
The Pistons have five players they are considering for the maximum of four summer-league roster spots which can be occupied by active-roster players: Lorenzo Brown, Reggie Bullock, Spencer Dinwiddie, Darrun Hilliard and [Stanley] Johnson.
Of those, only Johnson was a regular rotation player all of last season.

Dinwiddie should go to Summer League. He needs all the help he can get at this point. Stanley Johnson should too. We need him to really progress a lot this summer. I'm not sure if another summer league would benefit Bullock or not. He's starting to get more comfortable out there. I could see him possibly going so they could put him in a position to be one of their featured scorers though. Darrun Hilliard I would think has a definite spot on the roster. Lorenzo Brown may not be part of the Pistons future.

I wouldn't send Stanley to summer league again. He was the best player last year there, and players dont really get much out of it if they are a cut above the competition (Dre from a few years back)
I would rather Stanley closely work with specialist coaches to sharpen up components of his game - shooting and driving

It's still not uncommon for those 2nd year players to go to summer league. And in most of the rookie rankings Stanley didn't make it in the top 10. Part of that was due to not playing as much as others. Part of it is because this rookie class was just so good. So I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility for him to be there. He most definitely needs game experience on the court.
