Kobe destroyed the Spurs so bad in the WCF that the Lakers had 10 days off before the finals.

After getting off the rust in game 1 he had his best finals during the Shaq era.

If you call that making up numbers go ahead.

you seem to have gotten a little sidetracked with a defense of Kobe

yes I ripped on Kobe a little, but it was to establish my point, no other reason.

My point is that the Finals was not that entertaining to watch and it was partly because of Kobe and partly because the 2001 and 2002 WCF were fantastic (outside of the refs screwing the Kings, I didn't really like that part of it).
