Personally I'm in favor of anything that gets the dancing and stupid crap off the court. Red had it right, half time entertainment should be "ball boy pushing out ball cart" and even then he should be dress in non descriptive clothing as to not look flashy.

I'd also get rid of the super bowl half time show. Actually if I ruled the universe I'd also get rid of music as well during games. But I suppose I'm weird in that I like the game itself....

They have to promote other things besides the game. That's why there's so many ways to make a profit during these venues. You've got all sponsors there too.

Well...they choose to do this because well "money". That isn't going to make me a fan of this.

It's things like this that (and I get it, I'm a cheap ass) make me stream games and not pay for cable. The only real use of cable anymore is live sports (and the pricing of cable is CLEARLY showing this). I just refuse to pay for it in large part because the product as a whole is really trashy.

Sports revenues are at all times highs, their system works. I sadly am just not the guy they're marketing to.

I whole heartedly agree. Only thing cable is good for nowadays is sports and if that's the case id rather just stream it. I have to work most times the games are on anyways so I just stream em from my phone.

Lebron just simply putting that big package on display for the ladies, letting them know he was the alpha in the building. And they wanted it, you could see their eyes widening a lil but at the buldge, but Lebron was basically saying "Nah. Not now. Some of you can get this after the game. Until then, Ive got business to attend to." Played a hell of a game, too; 24/8/6. Nice line. Unfortunately the mod squad around him couodnt hold up their end. As usual.

If you have a legit reason for doing it I understand...this is just Lebron thinking he is above the league and can do what he wants. Those girls work their butts off and whether you like cheerleaders or not, they do that for pennies on the dollar. Show some respect to the fans who pay a crap load of money to enjoy the experience.

How is that cringe? Lebron is getting rid of his pre-game ego boosting diva routines and is attempting to get his team in to game mode as soon as possible.

No elaborate choreographed dances and handshakes. No powder ritual done only for marketing purposes.

This is the kind of thing most Lebron haters have wanted from Lebron for a long time, me included.
