Stop giving Kobe credit for Shaq's accomplishments. How'd Kobe actually do when it was just him by himself with no Shaq or best front court in the NBA? Even in '99 and '03 with no big 3 or rookie/bench/roleplayer big 3, Duncan still beat the dogshit out your two top 10 all times on the same team. Cuckbe sure had his number those years, eh boy?

But they are held against those guys. They get huge strikes for longevity...

He'll definitely be an all-star starter.
That is because most players as bad as Kobe aren't given the minutes and green light that Kobe has. Kobe only plays enough to get those stats because of his past.

    There is no revisionism.

Kobe is 18-12 (4-2 in series) against Duncan in the 30 games they played in the playoffs. He had the clear cut better team and teammates often.

    Kobe - 28/6/5

    Duncan - 25/14/4

    In the regular season;

    Duncan is 28-21 against Kobe

    Kobe - 24/6/5

    Duncan - 20/12/3

Not only did Kobe not "own Duncan", but even saying something along those lines is silly because they don't play the same position and play completely different roles.

And Duncan is 40-39 against Duncan in the 79 games they've played against each other in their careers.

I don't see any evidence that Kobe "had Duncan's number"...

Lastly, Duncan has had way better longevity than Kobe...it's not remotely close.

Duncan has never repeated, has had the consistency of one Coach his entire career, a stable core and has had the luxury of being eased into becoming a role player so it wasn't as abrupt change as it was with Kobe.

That's what the haters seem to forget, Kobe was dropping 29 pts with 5.6 reb and 6 assts in the 2012-13 season. Then he tore his Achilles.

That's the only reason why Duncan is better today. Whatever that means, guys been a shell of his former self just as much as Kobe. But when you're surrounded with Top tier talent and a front office who wouldn't offer you the biggest contract after a major injury on the down side of your thirties, your decline is easier hidden by a reduced role.

Kobe has always been the Spurs Killer bro.

I agree about longevity but that's only because Kobe had a career altering injury last time I checked.

If Spurs killer means having a losing record for his career against the Duncan led Spurs...sure

part of longevity is being durable...kobe couldn't do it the way other players have...you can't just cry "injuries"...lol...that is exactly what longevity is...staying on the court and maintaining a high level of play for as long as possible

kobe has had great longevity...just not Duncan level

He has a losing record in the regular season, but somehow Kobe having the edge over him in the post season doesn't mean shit? Only with you is this type of logic applied. Duncan's always had the more well rounded Team built for season success. Even during the 3peat days.

The Lakers have always been two deep in Kobe's championship caliber years, you guys trying to overstate the impact of Lamar Odom and the non factor Andrew Bynum doesn't change that.

Bro, stop Ive seen you use the injury "Player X couldn't have been this or done that, he was injured" excuse when it suits your agenda, this is why I hate discussing the Kobe topic with you, the double standards have the subtlety of a flamming tranny.
