Re: Oh, so now Kobe's player ranking means something
What changed is current era viewers choose to value the media when it suits their agenda. These are the same posters who didn't see the full Kobe era, just the Lebron era, so they are going to try to justify their limited viewing experience (single era, limited sample size) through making claims that the media ranking now holds merit. They aren't old enough and haven't experienced enough of a sample size to have an opinion that means anything.
A simple analogy:
If all you have to eat in life are foods like SPAM and liver and steaks are no longer available to eat... the spam and liver are going to taste good in comparison to shit. Meanwhile the guy who use to eat steaks knows what is actually good and is sitting back laughing a the guys who think spam and liver are the greatest.

if the media gets it right. they get a cookie.
if the media gets it wrong. they have to sit in the corner with a dunce cap on.
lets face it. if an autistic savant solved all the worlds problems. but still ended up pissing himself every now and then. we'd still have the right to label him a retard

But when these same media outlets labeled Kobe as the best player of the 2000s you were so quick to discredit them. "Those guys don't know what they're talking about" you would say.... look at ya'll now, what changed?
He is over valued by 100 spots at 93...
