true.. but 2014 ? Westbrook beasted.. and although ibaka went down for a bit Reggie Jackson stepped up in critical spots. Durant has never had a shortage of on court help, maybe coaching a bit though.

yes, ibaka getting hurt doesn't matter when you coach isn't great and you have no rim protection at all.

The west from 2013 to now is the toughest conference in league history. You need more than a really good team to get to the finals.

In 2013, Westbrook didn't play a single minute against Memphis and in 2014, Ibaka missed the 1st 2 games against the Spurs (OKC went 2-2 after he came back). Can't have key teammates getting injured when you're facing teams like the '14 Spurs without homecourt.

You're right on the comp.. west was tough back in mid 00s nut is tougher now. Still, kobes game seemed more dominant against contact and more well rounded at his best 01, 03, 08, 09 etc that's just my opinion
