I liked season 2 best...threats to DW's sovereignty come into focus from more than one direction... but I'm gonna say season 1 deadwood because that's when audience first meets Al and the show builds a bunch of other characters that makes season 2 so great.

Agreed

TD season 1 is massively overrated right now IMO

Still a great season, but the hype has just been overblown because two actors carried the show. EVERY character in Fargo was brilliantly acted and fleshed out. It was amazing that they could fit in so many characters, give them depth and screen time, and then not feel convoluted or taking away from the main plot.
