Seeing, say, the WC all stars play every night wouldn't bring in more endorsements?

Do you realize how global a team with Lebron, Carmelo, Harden, Westbrook, and Cousins would be.

Realistically, those 5 right there could take $5m a piece with plenty of room to spare. Throw in Rose, Dwight, Wall, Durant... They'd crush teams on a nightly basis without breaking a sweat. It'd be an oop fest. That'd be the sickest thing to watch. It'd be like watching an NBA team go to a pickup game and do cool shit.

They would become the greatest team ever assembled in the history of any sport. Look how captivating Lebron is by himself. What else would ESPN talk about besides that team? Who would care about the other teams? They'd be news every night going for X amount of games in a row or setting a record doing this or that.

Who else would you spend your advertising budget on? Some team who Kaly Thompson and no hope of ever winning a title? You gonna spend it on a star player who loses to a super team by 30? How boring would the rest of the league be?

No you're not. Probably a vast majority of advertising dollars in the NBA would be spent on just those 5-8 players.

Well they were 5th in attendance last year. We have a lot of good fans that get a bad rep because of the big 3 era. Miami is an event town. People have a ton of other things to do rather than watch Miami beat up on a team like the Sixers. But when the playoffs start, it's the go to event of the town. It's just how the market is, at least in that city. But I know and see too many Heat fans in South FL to say they are pathetic.
