Can someone illustrate how the Cavs can pay Kyrie,Lebron, Tristan,and Kevin Love top dollar and still pay Shumpert, and possibly still get Joe Johnson? What sorcery is going on?

You can thank the new CBA for this, adding in the luxury tax system to give smaller market teams and poorer owners a chance

You can go over the cap to re-sign your players. Then they can trade any existing contracts for Joe Johnson. It isn't rocket science.

You can exceed the cap to re-sign your own players as long as you have their bird rights (3 years) and the owner is willing to pay the luxury penalty.
Joe Johnson would actually be part of a trade for Haywood's non-guaranteed, $15m contract.
