Like I said in another thread; if LeMarcus doesn't win a ring with the Spurs in the next 2 years then he's not getting one and I'll savior every second of it - hopefully one that involves our young core group owning the Spurs - like tradition. Trashing Dwight's Rockets is close second in that list.

Even if we don't win a ring with Aldridge this or next season, this makes the transistion to Duncan's retirement that much easier.

I'm sure you and your team is aware, but there's a free agent bonanaza next season. Duncan and Manu coming off the book after their final seasons and having Aldridge in place in the core of team gives the Spurs both cap space to spend, but also will entice free agents to possibly come here. It's a win-win.

Even if we strike out then, I can expect Buford and Pop to find some player with the 47th pick who'll be the next starting PG for us.
