I like what the Mavs are doing, but a lot of it is reliant on Matthews recovering from an injury that typically kills careers. I'm highly skeptical.

Hope it works out tho. Would hate to see Dirk go out on a shit team. He deserves better.

I think it's a big mistake worrying about helping the Clippers. There is not a great chance we play them in the playoffs anyway (if we make it) and there are other teams to worry about.

If we retain 10 million of cap by doing a couple sign and trades (and take a team take on Felton as part of it)...we have a ton of options.
You don't need to help them. They need YOU to help them. They HAVE to make it worth your while. Taking a free 2nd rounder or get to salary dump a few guys will do nothing but help you.

    Incredible news.

Clippers lose a key piece so now both them and the Mavs are absolutely no threat to OKC.

    So happy about this move.

If it includes Ellis to Indy, it helps everyone. Indy doesn't want Hibbert. Everyone gets more cap room.

Right I was trying so hard to remember who they just got that made them nasty again. Yea this three way S&T to get Hibbert out makes sense, and could actually make him remember how to play basketball again

    Felton.

It allows us to keep open cap space and shed Felton.

That is absolutely worth it in my opinion.

This Mavs team is incredibly thin right now and has huge gaps. Without a sign and trade of some sort we'd only have two exceptions and vet min offers...and I guess we could keep Barea by going over the cap after everything is said and done.

We shed Felton and keep like 10 million of cap if my math is correct...that would be far better than worrying about helping the Clippers get Hibbert.

Kobe: "Look, this is probably my last season. I want you to be my Shaq. I want you to carry us to a championship."

    DeAndre: "Alright, I'm in!"

    Goddamn how hard is that?

Was pretty confident he was going to re-sign with the Clips. Dallas is still not better than Clippers with signing imho, but this is a huge loss for the Clips.

I guess playing in his home town, and the rumored turmoil with Chris Paul was enough.

Maybe the Clips trade for Hibbert now?

Wow. Done deal. Mavs with a huge coup.

Clippers still taking the L, like always. Bet CP3 wishes "basketball reasons" never happened. Would have had a dynasty with the Lakers, but now all he's got is some State Farm commercials and even more second round exits.
