    BARKLEY > Malone
Stop feeding the trolls. No matter how much evidence you provide, he's just going to come back with 1-2 sentences talking about one play. This is ish, nobody actually tries to prove their case with well, thought out evidence....They just go, "herp, derp, blah, blah, blah".

Besides, anyone who was alive back then knows good and damn well Charles was better.....It was never a question then, shouldn't be now......

Head 2 head, Karl BLOWS Barkley away. It's not even a contest. Post season and regular.

Karl won his MVP's in the late 90's. Chuck won his (Only 1) early in the 90's... Karl wasn't even at his peak around that time and he was arguably just as good IF not better.

Malone played his best basketball in the late 90's. AKA his prime.

Let's look at the top 5 in the 93 MVP..

    1.Barkley
    2.Hakeem
    3.Jordan
    4.Ewing
    5.Dominique Wilkins

Note not only the names above, but the fact that all were in their primes (I'll concede that Wilkins was tail end). Also note... Where's Malone?

Barkley also won the most 1st place votes in 1990 (by quite a magin as well), but was by biased minor place votes. Let's check the leader board that year.

    1.(27 1st place votes) Magic
    2.(38 1st place votes) Barkley
    3. Jordan
    4. Malone
    5. Ewing

Again, all top 50 all time and all in their primes. And again, Barkley ahead of peak Jordan.

Now, let's look at the top 5 for Malones two MVPs. Here's 1997...
    1.Malone
2.Jordan(getting old now, not the Jordan that Barkley beat.)
    3.Grant Hill
    4.Tim Hardaway
    5.Glen Rice

Yeah.. not quite the same league was it?

    And 1999...
    1.Malone
    2.Alonzo Mourning (what!?)
    3.Duncan (in his 2nd season)
    4.Iverson (3rd season)
    5.Kidd

Pffft... and all 5 of these guys got 1st place votes!! I'm sorry but Malone's MVPs mean squat.

From 1987 to 91, Barkley was legitimately in the the same conversation Magic and Jordan. People could and did mount solid cases for him as the best player in the league. Malone was NEVER at this level.

Malone scored about 3 more ppg than Barkley. However, a look at the their respective FG and 3PT stats, as well as a bit of time on Youtube watching highlights, should convince anyone that Barkley was better than Malone in pretty much every aspect of scoring the basketball. He had better moves around the basket, he was better in the post, he was quicker on the drive and he had a more range on his jump shot. Barkley was hands down the more efficient and more creative scorer. So how did Malone score more? Simple
