Question about "role player" Jason Terry in 2011 postseason
I see many Kobe stans + Lakers fans bring up Jason Terry in that years Finals.
But look how this "role playing SG" torched Kobe and the defending champions when Dallas swept LA that year in the 2nd round.
Jason Terry, 4gms:
Avg. 31mpg, 19.8ppg, TS% .757, FG% .587 and 3pt% .684

Re: Question about "role player" Jason Terry in 2011 postseason
Mavs beat Kobe, Durant, Westbrook, Harden, Wade and LeBron that postseason
Why is only Lebrons name brought up??
imo they all failed in beating the Mavs that year, no shame in losing for LeBron

LeBron is the only person who got fully punked and outscored by him, is why.

The Lakers, mainly Pau, were broken at that point.

No suprise. Kobe was past his prime, 32 years old and playing on one leg in 2011. He was coming off another knee surgery and was a shell of his regular self. He could still put up numbers because of his fundamentals, but he had no lift at all that season and he along with the rest of the team was probably burnt out and on their last legs after 3 straight Finals runs in the West. Pau had that strange disappearing act in the playoffs when he was distracted/pouting due to Shannon Brown screwing his fiancee. Phil also seemed burnt out and less intrested in coaching than he did in previous years and was probably looking towards retirment.
Also, Kobe was not nearly embarrassed as bad as LeBron was by Terry in the Finals. That was just pathetic and inexcusable. At least Kobe tried, LeBron just curled up, went into a shell and shut it down after Wade scolded him in Game 3. He wasn't injured, he just went ghost on both ends of the floor. There's just no legit reason for LeBron at that point of his career to get outplayed that badly by a bench player other than he either choked or he intentionally threw the series for some unknown reason.

I think the 70% from downtown explains it. Mavs were just lucky that year. everybody caught fire.
