They tied for 8th in a loaded conference despite Durant missing 55 games and Ibaka missing 16 games. Westbrook also missed 15 games and OKC got off to a 3-12 start before he returned from injury. That was hardly Westbrook's fault and obviously he had been healthy for just about 5-7 more games Westbrook would've led OKC to the playoffs despite not having the second best player in the world and reigning MVP for 2/3rds of the season.

Yes, technically Westbrook didn't lead OKC to the playoffs but it wasn't because he wasn't good enough. Anyone that actually believes that and pushes that bullshit narrative is a moron. Replace Westbrook with Rose this season, keep everything else the same (the onslaught of injuries OKC suffered this year) and the Thunder don't even come close to sniffing the playoffs. Instead of 45-37 they go something like 35-47 and are picking a few spots higher in the draft.

Outplaying them a game or two here and there doesn't mean anything. Kyrie and Wall had superior seasons. They were better than Rose this year and it isn't even really debatable.

    Kyrie: 22-5-3-2 on 47/42/86 shooting, 58% TS, 22 PER, 3.7 VORP, and .183 WS/48

    Wall: 18-10-5-2 on 45/30/79 shooting, 52% TS, 20 PER, 3.9 VORP, and .132 WS/48

    Rose: 18-5-3-1 on 41/28/81 shooting, 49% TS, 16 PER, 0.3 VORP, .038 WS/48

The numbers don't lie. Both Kyrie and Wall were pretty clearly better than Rose this year and, going forward, almost every GMs would probably take either as their team's starting PG ahead of Rose.

Ofcourse the numbers lie. Kyrie and wall tried really hard this season and played at their peak. Rose came back from a three year hiatus and took his time throughout the season. Technically they played better, dorsnt mean they are better players than rose, especially when rose did outplay them to prove a point when they went head to head. Rose even locked down and outdid curry, and carried the bulls to beat gs. I guess that doesnt mean anything.

I cant believe how much people overate Paul and more important how much they underrate Kyrie. Even Cavaliers fans don't think that he is top2 PG right now

    ether

and btw, if you swapped rose and westbrook, okc's record would be something like 20-62 while the bulls win the championship comfortably.

    Replace CP3 and Curry.
Clips get bounced in the first round by the Spurs. Warriors still win the Finals with CP3.
They're are about equal on offense but CP3 is an elite defender while Curry is average, good at best.
Lakers fans need to quit hating on CP3 and Dwight just because it didn't work out. You're like the annoying best friend of the girl that got dumped.
