KD is a great shooter, but his shooting in the playoffs is actually comparable to Kobe.

People act as if Kevin Durant is on a whole another level to Kobe in terms of shooting, he is during the regular season but KD hasn't proven to me that he can translate this to post-season shooting.

N.B. Durant is slightly more efficient and had a much higher TS%.

Prior this year Durant and Lebron had a very comparable TS%.

about a dozen players in the nba can currently do what prime kobe did if they were given the green light

On fire Kobe > any other on fire player ever. Durant will give you insane 30 ppg 60 ts seasons and as an overall scorer you can make an argument out of it, but prime Kobe on fire is the goat reg season scorer, even trumping MJ.

Scenario in the op isn't even a discussion. Kobe, Kobe, Kobe. When dude was on he was just that good.

Bird, Curry, Allen, Miller, etc. are all better or equal shooters.

For the names you mentioned....Its one thing to have great shooting % while putting up numbers like 21pts,24 pts etc.

But in that jan 2014 month KD had 10 consecutive games where he scored 40+....and nearly every one of those games he shot over 50/40/90.

He is an unstoppable force of nature.
