Warriors in 6 if..
they play Lebron straight up and don't help too early off his teammates - stay at home on his teammates and shut them down like the Spurs did last year.. today's spacing makes loading up on one player impossible.
look at the GIF above - should Lebron really be given props for finding the wide open Mosgov (#20)?... obviously not - my grandmother could make that play..
that's what spacing does - it makes it too obvious if you try to load up on one player, and too easy to find the open man.. said another way - the Jordan Rules would never work in today's game - the spacing makes double-teaming too obvious and results in easy, obvious passes like the one to Mosgov above.

Warriors don't have to face paint camping though. Asterisk title.

Verticle?
Re: Warriors in 6 if..
It is as if only Lebron is playing by these rules and seeing these defenses, that OP feels the need only to compare him to Jordan, and strictly post about him.
Just had my doctor friend look over your posting and this seems like a very bad case of rent free.

OBJECTIVE
Re: Warriors in 6 if..
I can't understand your obssession on spacing.
That's why players like LeBron are headaches for the defense...
One on one defense usually isn't enough.. and when they double team, the spacing gets fcked up at least 60% of the time because because there are hundreds of possible scenarios.
Teams who do a good job in reacting to that are the ones we consider as great defensive teams. Mid 00s Pistons and Pacers, Late 80s Pistons, Duncan's Spurs (when they want too), and some other teams.. too lazy to think of all of them.
So, yeah.. playing guys like LeBron, Kobe, Durant, etc. one on one is not wise, especially on a stage like the finals.

Re: Warriors in 6 if..
Without reading the OP whatsoever...
If...they guard Lebron in some way that's easier than what Jordan had to deal with.

An open paint has been built into today's game either by spacing, or league-mandated by defensive 3 seconds.. So in the GIF above, Lebron has the amazing option of attacking a wide open paint, or pulling up for the jumpshot.
In previous eras, he wouldn't have both options - it's very likely the paint would be too packed and he'd be FORCED to shoot the jumpshot:

In addition to enabling 2-defender strongsides for Lebron to go against, the spacing also forces help defenders to be further away from Lebron than they would've been in previous eras (that's the definition of "spacing", meaning more space).. The extra distance/spacing gives Lebron more time and room to operate (he has all day in the GIF).
The impact of today's spacing, including the aforementioned low number of strongside defenders along with the further distance that defenders must help from, is a stark contrast from previous eras when all 10 players would be INSIDE the 3-point line, and therefore closer to post players, while the lack of spacing on the weakside would keep all 5 defenders on strongside, like this:

Don't worry 3ball. You'll get your wish. Kyrie isn't close to 100% and they say he doesn't look like himself in practice. No way LeBron can beat a team as good as the warriors without a legit 2nd or 3rd option.
