I know that just by looking at the box score people get angry about 20+ FTs but watching the game may show he is attacking the basket and getting legit fouls. Knowing how to get to the line is an important skill, especially in a grind out type game with tight defense and fewer fastbreaks. I only get mad about FTs gifted from flops.

Those are just a few. He obviously had a lot more. I'm just trying to show that Harden isn't the only player to have 40+ point games with a huge amount of free throws. There are other superstar players who've had crazy amounts of FTA too. In Wade's 3rd and 4th years in the NBA, he was averaging around 10-11 free throws a contest. Michael Jordan was averaging 11 in just his 3rd year. Kobe has had a couple 10+ FTA seasons... KD has had two. Lot's of guys have. The thing with Harden is that he does exaggerate his contact a bit and also has that arm extension move, but since when is drawing fouls a bad thing. Yeah it gets annoying for the opposing team's fan to watch, but drawing and making free throws is a fundamental and Harden is very good at it. Just because he shoots a lot of free throws, doesn't mean he is a "fake" superstar. There's no denying that he's a very talented basketball player.

exactly this, watching Harden drive into the lane in last years playoffs just to throw up his arms and attempt to flop more than actually make the shot was the most disgusting display of basketball i've seen in years

Like I said in the other thread, even the Pacers radio hosts were bitching that Hill and Hill couldn't stay in front of Harden and wouldn't stop slapping.

Its just natural to want to slap at an exposed ball, but Harden is so strong that when you slap at it, you may get some ball, but you are going to get some arm as well.

If guys guarding him would stop slapping and just put their hands up, we wouldn't be having this conversation.
