he's had some bad falls (like the one vs Knicks about 3 years ago on a missed alley oop), but nothing serious ever seems to happen to him, dude is built of steel

I agree. Kobe is idiot and plays through injuries which leads to more severe injuries. He sprained his ankle before tearing his achilles. Bran sat out 4 games with a finger sprain and sat out a couple weeks this season.

He has crazy genetics... esp for a guy his size/weight and the force he exerts on his body through his athleticism.

Another guy like this is Deandre Jordan... he is literally never injured which is crazy considering his game and the injury histories of big men.

A couple of years ago I saw him falling on his ankles, well past 90 degrees. I don't know if this dudes ligaments are made of reinforced steel or something, but he walked it off in a couple of minutes and carried on playing like nothing happened. Dude is a monster, hopefully he carries on the rest of his career injury free because we take it for granted that he plays at least 75 games every season and every playoff game.
