    Default Tyreke and EG

Dudes are balling as a backcourt duo lately, with Tyreke at his natural position and Gordon as a playmaking SG. Finally giving AD the help he needs.

    Over their last 8 games:

    Gordon - 17/6/3 on 49.5 percent shooting
    Tyreke - 17/8/5 on 47 percent shooting

IMO, the Pels should look to trade Jrue to a PG-starved team and pick up some pieces for a playoff push.

Do they have a long term future in NO? Which team trades for Jrue? The PG position is over saturated at this point so I don't think you'd get great value for him.

So EG has played 8 good games for the first time in 3 seasons and its time to trade Jrue?

I'd need Tyreke and EG to average those numbers for at least 75 games in a single season before even considering moving Jrue.

But yes, they have looked very good the past few games. I think Jrue still fits when he's healthy, its more that Tyreke and EG have actually started playing their designated roles for once rather than just playing how they think they play best (ISO Ball).

    For example:

Gordon - Is a very good spot up shooter, he's not as explosive as he used to be so when he trys to break down the D he gets himself in trouble. Now that he's spotting up and/or driving and dishing he is looking great.

Tyreke - Can get to the hoop at will and has great vision. Lately he has finally started to realize that he usually draws a crowd when he drives.. which means someone (usually AD is open) so he's actually passing for once instead of throwing up all sorts of weird layup attempts.

I see no reason why Jrue cant fit in providing EG and Tyreke maintain the same team first mindset.

Oh and don't forget - AD only scores on lobs and assists, so the Pels need as many point guards on the squad as possible, otherwise AD will average 0pts 10 boards.

    It's EJ, not EG.

And I made a thread last week about how talented the Pelicans back-court is. No reason Jrue can't fit in with this rotation either... they just need to limit the time that Jrue and Tyreke spend on the court together.
