Probably the latter. We all know Love can score but he's barely average (if that) on the defensive end. He needs to be paired with someone like Asik or Tyson Chandler.

Love would purposely miss easy/wide open layups so he can get another rebound. Jordan never did anything of the sort. He always wanted to win, not pad his stats.

all these arguments to downgrade jordan are by guys that never saw him play - they simply can't believe the best player ever came along 25 years ago, instead of playing today.

Back then people did feel that Jordan put up great stats that didn't impact the result of the game. It was definitely a common criticism. That's the short story. The novelisation would say he used those criticisms as fuel to prove them wrong, and obviously winning 6 championships (w/ Finals MVP) definitely helps that narrative.

Why is anyone worrying about what Cleveland is going to do? Even the hometown fans know that they will never win a chip.
