Davis? Talented offensively and yes he was kinda lazy. Coming in to camp fat and just kinda lazy in general. In his best years he was really good but he got injured constantly. Could he have prevented those injuries had he been in better shape? Who knows. You can't list a bunch of guys who were injury prone and call them underachievers.
That wasn't always the case. While brief, there was a point during his time with the Hornets where he was playing MVP calibre ball. To no surprise, this was halted injuries.

Dude was a top 5 GOAT underachiever up there with the likes of sheed, bynum, and tmac.
None of these guys are underachiever.

Underachiever are someone like Odom. He has all the potential in the world but never quite reached it. He was an enigma throughout his career.

Bynum downfall was he was injury prone. When he was healthy, he was doing good. He could have been great but that knee just can't hold up. He could stayed longer in the NBA if he had that work ethic but he will never reach his potential because of that injury.

I was talking about Sheed there not Davis. Go back and reread what I wrote.

dude blew his knee out badly against the Heat...at his age, he's done as an NBA player.

I wouldn't consider him an underachiever, but he was never in the right situation in his NBA career, simple as that.

Dude had some GOATworthy performance in 07 Playoffs, but he never did it again..didn't make the POs until he was past his prime and had a horrible injury... To be honest, I don't think many players at his age would even consider ever playing at a high level after that kind of an injury...Dude made mad bread so he's probably living off that and will do fine the rest of his life.
