Definitely the toughest most "it's wet" as it leaves his hands shot in NBA history.

The difficulty level of that shot blows away every other playoff game saving shot. Magic's hook, Jordan's shot... they were nice, but Ray literally made a 3 out of nothing with no dribble.

I bet every other guy in the NBA would put that on the floor. The fact that he didn't, was able to perfectly step back... catch in rhythm, bail out effortlessly, yeah I think it was the greatest shot.

I think that the fact is that Heat/Spurs finals just wasn't on the intensity level for a lot of us... as say a LAL/BOS 80s Final. If that shot happened in a historic series, it would be more celebrated.

In context ... MJ vs Jazz Game 6 1998

Pure play ... Ray "saving LeBald carrer" Allen. Game 6 vs Spurs 2013

Honorable mentions: Horry vs Kings 2002, Paxson vs Suns 1993.

Game was more physical in the past.

Stuff like that happened all the time. We didn't complain about it back then.

As far as impact goes, I don't know why anyone would think its a joke. It very arguably is the greatest shot in history as far as how impactful it was. He literally saved them from losing the championship. In 98, had Jordan missed the shot, there was still game 7. Same goes for Paxson in 93 and Kerr in 97. Magic's sky hook took place in the middle of the series. Jordan's shot in 89 didn't win or lose the championship. Its not crazy to say. Unless there was some shot in the 60s or 70s I'm missing, a team has never been so close to losing a title without actually losing it and this was the biggest reason that happened.
