They're 14 and 17 and Bosh is averaging 21.6 ppg. He isn't doing it alone.

Bosh has barely played in a month. But, Wade isn't an MVP candidate. He is still a top 10 player though.
So threatened by Wade's return to superstar status because you realize that it jeopardizes the narrative of LeBron's only two titles. Maybe the story wasn't that "LeBron carried those bums to two rings" but that he needed to be backed up by another all-time great player, (and when that player was physically unable to back him up, he was utterly lost.)
It certainly seems that way at this point, looking at the very underwhelming outcome and performance LeBron has produced so far while playing without that player.

I think the half splits would be interesting. It seems to me that Wade goes HAM on insane efficiency in the first half of quite a lot of games, but then d-fades for some reason in the second half.

He's top 5 in 4th quarter scoring.
The team has some really ugly 3rd quarters though

Last year the Heat went 54-28, second best in the East, and reached the NBA Finals for the fourth consecutive season. This year, replacing LeBron with a 2x all-star SF in Deng, the Heat are 14-17 and mired in 7th in the East, at risk of missing the playoffs. 16 teams have a better record than the Heat.
The collapse of the Miami Heat post-LeBron illustrates how great LeBron is and how vital he was to their success. Remember, Chicago replaced MJ with a guy who was not even in the NBA (not exactly a guy who was in the all-star game in 2 of the previous 3 years) and still almost won the #1 seed the following year. The Heat may miss the playoffs in a conference that is very weak outside the top teams. 35 wins may be enough to make the playoffs in the East.
