The last time Trevor Ariza shot .500
Was November 12th. Since then, he's only cracked .400 twice.
I know Houston is hobbled with injuries and he's been forced to play more minutes, but I'm wondering how a catch-and-shoot player can miss that many shots.

Re: The last time Trevor Ariza shot .500
He was scorching the net at a nice clip through the first 10 games or so. Perhaps he just wears himself out too hard on the defensive side of the ball, buh...
What do his career averages look like?

Holy ****ing shit. Who woulda thought Trevor Ariza wasn't actually a budding star, but just an overhyped role player after a contract year, on a hot streak. Who could've predicted this?

John Wall GOAT. Getting players well overpaid since entering the league.
McGee, Swaggy P, Webster, Ariza, Booker and others. Rasual Butler might be next.

Before playing with Wall Ariza never shot better than 33% from 3.

With Ariza on the bench, the Rockets surrender a 107.3 points per 100 possessions mark, a disastrous amount. With Ariza on the floor, that mark drops to just 95.3, allowing 12 points per 100 possessions fewer -- a massive differential. The offense is six points better per 100 possessions as well.
Don't care. Shoot 20% if you want, just keep playing defense.

I'd imagine that's why he's still starting. His FG percentage is Daequen Cook-bad.

If anyone thought Ariza coming off a contract year was going to be anything other than the role player he is, they were kidding themelves.

I knew his hot streak would end but I didn't think it would plummet like this.
He's shooting worse than Kobe.

Beverley's FG % is coming back down to Earth, and Dwight's FT % sucks. Smith's % sucks.
But the Rockets are winning with defense. If they can slightly improve their offense, they'll be an elite team.
Funny, saying Houston needs to improve their offense.

Nobody thought he would be anything other than a role player?
That's why he got role player money.

Wow, I had no idea he has been so bad offensively. 36% from the floor...yikes.
Harden has been nothing short of incredible. He's been carrying them for sure.

He was sub 40% during his first go-around with Houston as well.
