You wanna know what happens when you put two of the smartest basketball players ever on one team?
Watch the video and you'll see, this guys had so much fun in 85/86 regular season it was almost comical.
Glory days!

Sometimes they ask which career was most sadly cut short due to injuries, and my answer is easily Walton. If he had ten or twelve truly healthy years, his legacy would be as high as anyone's.

They were the ideal teammates; both could read the game exceptionally well and relied on their smarts and skills rather than athleticism. Imagine Bird playing with a pre-injuries Bill Walton.

I would have loved to see a young Walton and Bird together. As far as team play it would be hard to see any other being better. not 2, not 3, not 4, not 5. not 6.
